Best for diners with defective palate – My experience with Stella's was horrible. Me and my friend total a check of $130 and I got the worst dinner of my life. My sea bass came out not fully cook twice and it was the same piece of fish. By the time they did it right on the third trial, it was extremely dry. If I wanted raw fish, I would have gone sushi or sashimi. Our waitress asked me "is it worth the wait?" when I sink my teeth into the dry tasteless shrinking sea bass. Best Fish and Service Ever – Last night I went out to Stella's had fabulous Yukon Salmon, the freshest fish I've had. I went with 6 of my college friends from Seattle, WA. They were very impressed by the whole experience and thought the fish was better than it was in Seattle. Service has always been good and consistent. I do recommend Stella's for a casual night out and fun. Come early to sit on the rooftop - it's worth it!
Great today, but uneven experiences – We have had dinner at Stella's before and I thought last time was OK, but last night made me a believer. Although I think it's somewhat pricey for the surroundings, which is loud and casual (has kind of a Red Lobster feel on the main floor), the food was fabulous! Friday Night Out – I generally go out on fridays with a couple of friends and tonight was no different. We went in for the late night two for ones which is awesome ( any tap beer, call drink and house wine). Three of us sat at the bar and got some drinks and we saw one of our favorite bartenders (Patrick) but the other was not there (Jana). Our experience of Stella's was bad from the instant we walked through the door! – When we arrived, the main floor dinning area was COMPLETELY empty, but the hostess rolled her eyes at us when we asked for a table (gasp!) without a reservation. Our server was curt and service was slow. The food was overpriced, portions were small and my pricey and OVERCOOKED lobster didn't come with so much as a slice of bread... We left hungry and unsatisfied. I highly recommend not wasting your time and money.
Highly recommend...would love to go back – this is a very belated review...however, I felt I really needed to express what a wonderful time we had at Stella's ! Don't waste your time & money... – The service was terrible - we were left waiting for 20 minutes even after the smallest requests. The waitress ignored our table and we had to request service from anyone in a uniform. When the food finally came, it was luke warm and the servers didn't even know what kind of fish they were serving - which is ridiculous if you're paying $25-$30/plate. They screwed up our bill and then over-charged our credit card. Won't ever go back.
Bad all the way around – Went to Stellas for a birthday dinner, the new waitress was PAINFULLY slow with everything. She forgot salads, soups, drinks... Finally, all of our meals showed up, EXCEPT the birthday girls. She forgot to order her meal! It could have been excused, albeit very irritating, if the manager had supported her. Where to begin.... – Let's see, an oyster bar that has no fresh oysters available when they are advertised as one of the daily specials, a less than inspiring menu, fouled up drink orders, and an extra $1.50 if you order a beverage "Neat"....
