Wouldn't recommend it. Long wait with a "fast pass." Parking was terrible.

Beautifully built but you need a lot more characters, props and lights in the woods to scare people and make it creepy. The woods was lame. Lucky for us we were there by 8:00 but when we left a 3 hour line developed at the train station. Glad we didn't get stuck in that. As far as scare factor, not so much. No chainsaws. No air compressors. No loud noises. No surprise scares. And the whole ad advertisement getting your money back if you make it through is crap. Someone said we had 45 seconds to find a key in the last room to... read more

I won't give it a 5 because that means it is perfect and needs no tweaking. It is a first year haunt and will need to be tweaked. I think people expected it to live up to Statesville right off the bat. The actors need to create their character and make it their own. Managers need to work on timing..it's the first weekend. Constructive criticism is great, it gives the production team things to improve upon but when you come in saying it sucks and then promote another haunt in the same sentence how objective are you really? I ... read more

First off I don't readily go to Haunted Houses because they have pretty much bored me and I didn't like wasting my money. HellsGate actually was very impressive, entertaining and kept me amused throughout. I would actually go back in a couple weeks when the actors have really loosened up in their roles. Yes, I am one of those who did not wait forever in lines, we must have arrived before the surge. When we returned to the parking lot, there were many MANY MANY PEOPLE WAITING . Personal opinion, I don't think they expected th... read more

TERRIBLE. waited 2 hours in one line , got onto the bus waited in another line. then another, then another, walked threw the forrest which was terrible. and then waited in another line then entered the haunted house and waited in another line. Waisted four hours in line then 10 mins in the haunted house which was not even worth the money. the workers were very rude, i get it its a haunted house but i got spit in the face and a guy legit yelled at me for talking about the haunted house. NEVER AGAIN. and we had the 'fast past"... read more

Hellsgate, they should call it Hellswait! Why pay for a fast pass when you are in the same line as those who payed less? We waited 45 minutes in a line that moved very little. Finally gave up the waiting when the man in charge allowed his niece and 20 or so of her closest friends to skip to the front of the line. When confronted he responded "they have a special pass...". I hope Groupon will refund for this huge waste of time.

Wah wah... This haunted house was a total flop, in my book, and it doesn't take much to scare me. I was so excited for this place, and so let down. We arrived at 7pm, when this supposedly opens and there was already a long line waiting to get on the bus. You take a short bus ride, and then get into a queue to get your ticket, even if you bought online. Then you get into a line in a tent. Then you spend a few minutes walking through a "graveyard" before you get in ANOTHER queue (yes, that's 4 lines). Then they pack all you in... read more
