RecommendedI want to thank the Nurses and staff of 3rd floor South building for the last few days of taking care of my grandmother before she passed. They treated her with so much love and compassion and truly made her last days comfortable and loved. Nurse Jennifer hung in with us and we appreciate her patience with us. Our Hospice Nurse Erin (sorry if I spelled wrong) was so professional and loving also we just couldn’t ask for better people to care for my grandmother at her end.
Currently sitting at St Vincent’s Occupational health, Trussville, for a required drug screening for my new job. That means I’ve been sitting here an entire hour, and still counting, just to pee in a cup. The staff are in the back laughing. There have only been 3 people in the waiting room this entire time, and two of those people have been here over an hour. This place is not busy. This is absurd. I am a nurse. I know what busy is. There is no excuse for wasting all of our time like this.
I have been waiting since August 30th for a refund (I was overcharged at the time of my outpatient procedure). I have called 3 times since then. Each time I am told to wait an additional 2-3 weeks. Would they be okay with this if they were expecting the payment from me? No, they would have it turned over to collections by now. Now, the hospital staff was great during my time there, but I have been nothing but pushed around and given fake promises since then.
Provide better care for the patients instead of worrying about shutting down a floor for the weekend and rushing the patients on the floor out of their rooms to go to a different floor. Don't allow a patient to continue losing blood after a major surgery!! 9 am noted that I needed to be transfused and didn't receive any till almost 8:00 that night. Check the chart! They have the most courteous and caring staff of any hospital I've ever been in! They have taken excellent care of my mother and I'm forever grateful! I would recommend this hospital to anyone needing care because here you are in good hands!!!
My mom was brought in to St Vincent Downtown by paramedics on Tuesday night. She was moved from er to a room in about 3 hours She was in W658 and everyone, especially her nurse, Alitra, was great, courteous, kind and very attentive. Everyone had a smile and a kind word. Alitra was the best! I want to thank the entire staff that came into her room. Everyone, the doctor, nurse practitioner, rn, nurses aide, dietitian, even the man that removed the waste!! The great people at the same-day surgery clinic; fantastic folks.
My name is Miranda Hernandez. I can’t remember member everyone’s names, but they helped it subside. From registration, to my amazing nurse and Dr I couldn’t have been happier. This will no be mine and families hospital. I don’t want to forget my CT guy... he was amazing, and he made me laugh through my pain. 👍🏼👍🏼 for St. Vincent’s ER staff.
