They have signs up all over the hospital stating that the patient will be checked on every hour for comfort, well-being, help you move/change positions, assist you to the bathroom. I have sat in the hospital room with my sister for a solid 3 hours and not one nurse/ tech/etc has checked in! We have had to ask for help when she was throwing up , had to use the bathroom, needed meds, or just wanted to sit in a chair so she could progress so we could get out of here. ICU has kinda dropped the ball on my man's treatment, and that's only where the problems began. We told the pressure on his left eyeball would be tested every 6 hours (it wasn't), that his contact still in his injured eye would be taken out (He finally was just able to by himself an hour ago), and they refused to give Daniel water even after they told us it was okay to give him ice chips last night. Apparently they don’t feed a (unrestricted diet) patient if his loved ones aren’t there to make them!🤬😤 UNBELIEVABLE BUT TRUE The staff has been rude & uncooperative on every level. They make it so unaccommodating for the family so they can operate in secrecy. Acting like our loved one is their prisoner. Choose Methodist or IU‼️

Their billing practices are a joke. I will never visit a St. Vincent hospital again because of this which is a shame because the doctors are good. My daughter had a procedure in December 2017 and I took care of all my responsibilities when the bill came due in March 2018. I owed nothing else and received no more bills. In December of 2018 I receive an EOB from my insurance with the same amounts from her previous procedure and showing I owe $120. Not until February 2019 did I receive a bill from St. Vincent and it was for $14... read more
