Now this place was a revelation to me . I've visited Exeter many times before and never found this gem of a place . Hidden away on a trek into the back streets of Exeter. But Well worth the seeking out . This was a monestry a beautifully Tudor home used by the Roman's etc etc the history is amazing . This place is now lovingly cherished and the ladies who run it free of charge are more than happy to share their passion for this place . Seek it out it's well worth the effort .
We attended a ghost evening on Halloween and had the best time. I won't spoil others' fun, but we got to visit four or five of the rooms inside the priory which are stunning. The stairs are a little tricky so I would advise caution, but it's a true hidden gem and I'd love to go back. Mobile phones had to he physically turned off so I only managed to get one picture from inside I'm afraid. But I'll share one or two that I took outside.
Absolutely magical place.
I went to st Nicholas Priory for sit a down performance and entertainment. It is an ideal place to enjoy yourself with beautiful surroundings and a peep into it's history. The building is full of artefacts of great interest and it amazes you with its architecture. Friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff are willing to help.
