I was going to St. Joseph’s outpatient from 6/2019 until 11/2020, the staff at the facility is wonderful! Also if you like getting surprise bills, their billing department has no problem billing you for things you have already paid for. Their billing department is so far behind they will bill your insurance 4 month later and send you the remaining balance 6 months later! If you call and ask how much you owe they will then tell you nothing but still send you bills. They make everyone several account for billing and won’t tell... read more
RecommendedYes, but with Covid regulations it makes it difficult to find out how your loved ones are doing when they are admitted to the hospital. Often the phone to nurses station goes unanswered, then disconnects. I have tried different times within 5 hours to reach someone about my Dad who is 90 and almost totally blind. I have no idea what is going on with him. Very frustrating and I am sure he must be a little scared. There should be another way to reach loved ones. He doesn't have a working phone in his room.

Thanks for sending me a unreasonable hospital bill (after my insurance) due two days after Christmas you cocksuckers! I would expect no less but some extortion from a corporation filled with a bunch of useless middle management whose only purpose is to ruin people financially so they can get paid!
Healthcare in the U.S is abominable. (The costs, not the level of care). St. Joseph is part of this systematic problem. A simple ER visit will cost you thousands of dollars - the facility fee (for just using a room) is about $1400. That doesn't include the doctor fee (whom you see for 5 mins) and that 5 min alone will cost you $846. What's more, that also doesn't account for lab work, x-rays, medications you will have received. I sent my elderly, frail family member to Saint Joseph’s for treatment of heart failure. The nurses on her floor were rude and short-tempered with me. My family member was dying and instead of receiving compassion or warmth, I felt disdain for me and for my family member, as if having a dying patient in their care was a waste of their time and energy. Most unprofessional hospital I have EVER been in or dealt with!!! 38 minutes on hold for 1 call today only to be clicked again. Listen to a recording over and over and over as your switched to dept to dept to only get clicked and have to call back. Calling since 5 it’s 11 and I have called a 100 times....to waiting on hold, to listening to the recording over and over as your transferred and then clicked again over and over. They only place you can go with chest pain and sit in the waiting room for 4 hrs and still have 11 people in front of you.. old lest just left with a bad bleed to the head because she couldn’t wait any more hours Up your staff, simple answer for being busy. Terrible terrible terrible.. I was told if I didn’t like the wait go to another hospital. Yup pay up and leave.
