This is a beautiful place my partners father was admitted to st Gemma’s hospice. They put other places to shame, I have been a nurse for 34 years now and I can not express how compassionate every one is from cleaners to hcas to staff nurses and doctors. It is perfectly managed. It is a credit to the management. We as a family have nothing but praise for st Gemma’s they thoroughly deserve their cqc rating. Thank you for your care.

The staff there are absolutely 100% brilliant the way they look after the patients is unbelievable they make sure you are as comfortable as possible.

Absolutely lovely carers, were there in the final moments for my grandma as we were a minute too late. The comfort and care provided is much appreciated from all our family members, and hope the best for every employee and volunteer that put their efforts into their work. Vicky, a member of the team, was absolutely incredible at comforting us through the horrendous process of dealing with a loss. I have the utmost respect for every single person working there. Our darling brother Terry spent his final days in Wensleydale. From the moment he entered St. Gemma's, to the day he passed away, he was given such excellent care and kindness. The staff always ensured that he was comfortable and pain free. It was a comfort to us to know that he was constantly monitored when we weren't there. Not only was Terry cared for so well, we family members were treated with kindness all the way through. We really can't thank everyone at St. Gemma's enough. It really is a wonderful place.
