A total must do if downtown, best steak ever! Don’t forget the shrimp cocktail. Awesome dining experience.
Amazing restaurant! The staff were friendly and the food was outstanding. Best steak I have ever had.
Amazing food! Fantastic service! Great atmosphere! This is a must if you are in Indianapolis!
I was in Indy for one night and wanted to have a great steak. Trip advisor had a lot of the usual suspects listed near the top.....Mortons, Ruth Chris, etc but I can dine at one of these chains in nearly every big city. St. Elmo popped up as number one and given its long history in town, I knew it would be the one. We were able to get in right away thanks to a last minute very early time slot. The vibe is exactly what I was looking for. It felt like the rat pack could walk in at any moment. The walls are filled with famous p... read more
Andy is without fail the most professional and finest server I have ever experienced, the cuisine is off-the-charts good. At wonderful atmosphere and a professional staff, win / win!
One of the best meals of my life, if not the best! Shrimp cocktail sauce was AMAZING! Spicy but it didn't linger.. I had lobster bisque.. also AMAZING! And steak had a very good flavor and taste as well. Portions are big so my daughter and I split a steak entree .. perfect portions that way. Pricey but well worth it for a special ocassion. Highly recommend! Oh.. about forgot to mention that I got a free Creme Brûlée since it was my birthday.. and a birthday card. 😉👍🏻
Celebrating 5th anniversary the food was awesome and my wife said her steak was best she ever had.We both had ribeye and was cooked perfect the Navy bean soup as the starter is delicious. Our waiter Scott was the best and keep everything filled and congratulated us on our anniversary.Well worth the price as the steaks melt in your mouth and are big had to take some home.
Excellent food, excellent drinks, excellent service in a historic setting in downtown Indianapolis. A trip to Indy is not complete without a meal at St. Elmo.
First time here and St Elmo's met the hype and expectations. Careful when ordering the famous shrimp cocktail, I love horseradish but I think the cocktail sauce assaulted me in a good way. My steak was cooked perfectly, king crab mac and cheese was awesome as well (enough for three people) Vladimir? my server was very attentive as I was a party of one and he was juggling several other larger parties. Am excellent experience and I will be back next time I'm in Indianapolis
