Ignore the Hype, even if Oprah says so – These cupcakes are just not worth the hype or the price. I dont care where the sugar was shipped from or how many different kinds they use. Sugar is sugar and these cupcakes taste like plain sugar. I make cupcakes with organic ingredients and they taste FAR better than these. STREISAND/OPRAH ARE WRONG! – NOT IMPRESSED! I was in Dallas for a few days and couldn't wait to try Sprinkles after hearing all of the hype from the media (news, talk shows and even one of my favorite HBO series, Entourage). Way too much hype – I tried Sprinkles right when they opened, and I was not that impressed. They did not taste bad, but they were not the best cupcake I have ever had. If you want to try a cupcake I suggest getting the Red Velvet. That was by far a better cupcake than the others. I am glad I tried them, but the next time I am craving sweets I will be heading to another bakery.
red velvet – is beautiful, not to mention delicious! The wait is a bit long, but the cupcake is what my friends and I would call "finger lickin good." The frosting has a very unique texture and it's a bit sweet, but better for the sweet tooths out there. It's really a nice friendly atmosphere, kind of like a pinkberry cupcake heaven.
Sprinkles Cupcakes – Save your money and your time, at $3.25 per cupcake, this place is definitely not worth it! I had the red velvet cupcake and was extremely disappointed- the cake was dry and unflavorful, the icing was heavy and sweet. I probably could've made something better tasting at home. super awesome. don't forget to get milk – WOW, melt in your mouth, ginormous cupcakes. worth what ever it takes to get the cupcakes. strongly recommended for true cupcake fans. love the place!
Pretty good cupcakes – Everyone seems to be talking about these cupcakes, I guess if Oprah likes them, I'll like them too. They were even in an episode of Entourage. My wife ordered them online during the week and when she tried to schedule a pickup time the same day, they asked her to pick it up on the weekend, imagine that, you have to schedule a time to pick up these damn cupcakes. Way Overhyped - Dry Cupcakes – Sorry, I have to agree with the review below... I finally went to Sprinkles to see if they lived up to the hype.... Answer....NO. The cupcakes were sweet but dry. Beautiful presentation, but lacking true flavor. I would recommend Yummy Cupcakes in Burbank over this place any day...
Dull Cupcake – Sorry, but get some tastebuds folks. I have tasted several of the cupcake flavors and do not understand what is so appealing. There is almost a lack of flavor to these expensive little cakes not to mention the dull frosting. They are pretty and the presentation with the packaging is certainly nice but go buy a mix and make buttercream frosting at home.
