tasty cream cheese frosting – I?ve fancied visiting this place for months. Lately it?s been getting a lot of press on TV and Los Angeles seems to have gone into cupcake frenzy! After standing in line on the streets of Beverly Hills for thirty to forty five minutes, I finally stepped into the tiny shop and saw row upon row of the most delectable looking cupcakes. They have over 20 enticing flavors and bake with the finest of ingredients including Belgian chocolate and the most expensive vanilla extract in the world! Right now... read more
Discusting.... – This was a horible experience. I am from out of town and everyone was braging about Sprinkles, so I was hoping for a nice piece of food. I go there exited about trying this cupcake. The line took 45 minuets. Then I ordered the cupcake and it tasted more like cupcrap. It was not cooked all the way and it was like five dollars for one uncooked darn stupid cupcake. The service was not nice and kind, they were dreading to be there. I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS AT ALL! It is a wast of time!
Definitely worth the visit! – I was looking for a special treat for my holiday party. I thought I might buy some cupcakes from Sprinkles, so I checked online to see if the "everyday customers" agreed with all the hollywood hype. I found most reviews were fairly negative, but I was very pleasantly surprised at my experience. I found the location easily and the inside was fun and clean. I agree with some of the other posters though, they absolutely need another door. The line of people going in the shop, hindered the people wh... read more
Not the best, but you have to try at least once – Like all those people you see lined up along the sidewalk every Saturday morning, I too succumbed to all the hoopla about this little brown box of a cupcake shop. Since my first visit, I've been back a few times even though I find the cupcake frosting to be WAY TOO SWEET and the red velvet dry. Really, it's more about the experience -- it's one of those things you have to try at least once.
Obviously people don't know a good cupcake – I don't get it...every single cupcake I've had here is WAY too oily and the frosting is too sugary. The line is insane and not worth it, and the cupcake is overpriced. Hello? An entire box of Pillsbury cupcake mix costs less than $2 and tastes much less nasty. Is it just because it's trendy to like expensive little pieces of garbage?
THE place for cupcakes – My girlfriend's birthday just passed and I wanted to get some cupcakes since she doesn't eat a lot of sweets and I didn't want to have to finish off a whole cake by myself. After much debate, I wound up at Sprinkles and I couldn't have made a better decision. I loved the milk chocolate and she absolutely loved the strawberry. The vanilla was pretty good and the caramel apple was a creative twist with chunks of apple. The only knock on this shop is the line. I went in the middle of the day and had to ... read more
Good cupcakes but a little dry. Fun, but long lines and service with an attitude. Overpriced. – Sprinkles is an experience, but the long lines and tough parking end with rushed service with an attitute. The cupcakes are beautiful and the icing is terriffic, but the cupcakes are often dry. They have ZERO shelf-life. Pretty overpriced for their size and short shelf-life. I recommend a newish place on Centinela Ave and Washington called Hotcakes Cakes. Their cupcakes are even better, more moist, and last more than 60 minutes. P... read more
REd velvet only the rest is just cupcakes – I gotta give it to the red velvet cupcake! not so much ofr the others . i mean the rest are just alright nothing special about them. they also have cupcakes for your pooch however i was not told they are the size of a U.S quarter for $3 rediculous!!!! ohnestly i will not stand in line 30 min again for cupcakes! i would visit urly around 9Am and you dont have to wait in line. or call ahead on your order !
Better than the rest... – I visited Sprinkles when it first opened and waiting in the 45 minute line was totally worth it. The cupcake is freaking awesome. Pretty much any flavor you try you are going to love (my favorite is the pumpkin...yum). My co-worker and I have tried many other hyped cupcake stores around the country and we both agree that none of them compare the Sprinkles. So, they are $3.50 a cupcake...you won't be disappointed!
