My Mom had surgery 8-29 am. From the moment we walked through the door, we had the most amazing experience. From the pre-op staff to the post op nurses, amazing. The Operating room scrub nurse was a knowledgable healing doll. She came out after surgery to explain in detail what they just did to my Mom. Then... They sent her to ICU. Her nurses Geo and Kim wrote piton ably 2 of the best nurses I have seen in a long while. Mom is a retired operating room nurse. I judge very critically. Gotta give praise to the staff at Spring Valley Hospital. Especially the nurses on telemetry, very friendly, helpful, and quick to answer when called.
Worst hospital ever when they have no room for my wife after being hooked to an IV made us wait in the lobby...to top it off ultra sound tech took an hour to get to my wife because he is on call....
My husband walked into the ER and said the two magic words - "Chest Pain". From that point on we were given excellent care and personal consideration. I can't say enough good things about the entire staff from the physicians to the aides. Even the maintenance guy was a peach when he came within 10 minutes of our reporting a leaky toilet. Some people may have unhappy experiences there, but if you experience chest pain and this facility is near you, I recommend it. Great nurses, they were amazing for my husband.
My husband was taken to Spring Valley on June 6, 2014 around 9pm. I have been a RN since 1976, worked 10 years in ICU, 11 years in the cath lab and since have directed cardiovascular services.
