We have just returned home from a truly relaxing & wonderful mini-break. The Peak District is beautiful & perfect for those who love the great outdoors…what made our stay truly special was Maeve & our time in Shippon Cottage. A lovely converted farm property with modernised facilities. It is set in a beautiful landscape & within great walking distance of the key trails up to the Great Ridge such as Mam Tor & Loose Hill. The walk to Castleton is easy making it accessible for short trips in and out. The host is lovely & knowledgeable about the local area. A fantastic stay & we would strongly recommend it.
We stayed in Harry Eyre Cottage for 4 nights in the middle of February. The cottage was really well located. You can go for walks straight from the cottage of from other points nearby. There are several caves in walking distance as well. We really enjoyed a fire place and the view from the windows. Highly recommend it!
