*update* the gym is well and truly closed down , saw a truck removing all the gym equipment ** In the light of the latest email about the gym closure are people cancelling their direct debits ? Gym needs a facelift, needs redecorating , changing rooms need to be redone. Hygiene standards are very poor and showers are luke warm at best. Takes ages to repair anything. It’s ok for an occasional user.
*UPDATE* - the place is closed anyway. Heard it finally fell apart and now it’s not even safe for people to be in there. Been a member for a few months now and I’ve given my notice about leaving. PRO - The best thing about the place is the members - genuinely friendly and kind people. Lovely PT trainer there too - Loui, wonderful person. CONS - The sauna has been broken for months, the steam room is always filthy (there is streaks of dirt on the walls), there is dust hanging around every single machine & most the equiptment ... read more
UPDATE: whole thing now shut, not sure it will reopen sadly. Place did get very dirty, broken equipment. Not surprised it became unsafe. If you're using the swimming pool this place is pretty good, not bad price and well located. Sauna and steam room are ok, spa pool is barely ever open. If you're just interested in the gym then I'd spend your money elsewhere like the Gym Group down the road. Complete lack of investment means it's stuck in the 90s and machines are frequently broken, the free weights barely have the weight on... read more
I wanted to freeze the membership, manager confirmed still they debited the full amount. It's closed without giving any valid reason. How do I cancel my membership?
