Not had the best experience at Spire. Had surgery on 14th October was meant to be seen after 2 weeks, was seen 3.5 weeks later and also had called them to say I was in pain. Then sees the surgeon to be told he would see me when I'm 6 weeks in to get an appointment 9 weeks in. I am not happy with the service at all, I called the reception to be told she can't do anything and will not speak to the surgeon. Doreen Hoppe, nèe OBrien What can I say! Absolutely amazing! From the moment I walked in on Tuesday 28th October, the reception ladies made me feel so welcome and calm, for my knee replacement. Everyone's care and attention was exemplary, to when I walked out of room 259 the next day! I have to say special thank you to all the hostesses and nurses on the day and night shift! Great service and treatment by all staff. Thanya was specially caring and lovely with my 3 years old boy, providing options for food and giving him some extra chocolate biscuits while he waited for his mama. All catering options were great and the food doesn’t actually taste like your normal ‘hospital food’ . All the staff were supportive and attentive - Lorena is also especially attentive and nice. What can I say! From the moment I arrived for surgery, I was greeted by a lovely receptionist and then taken to my room. The staff member who accompanied me was welcoming and friendly, which really helped put me at ease. Once I was settled, the nurses made every effort to ensure I knew exactly what to expect. I was offered a lovely menu to choose from, and my husband was also provided a meal — which was wonderful, especially as he is diabetic. So, thst was one less thing for me to worry about.
