We had the nicest dinner at Sheerwater with Margarito as our server. His recommendations were spot on and his suggestion of wine was superb. Thank you for the great service and delicious dinner.

Perfect Hotel for the perfect getaway
Visit Jose at the Sunset Bar. Can’t beat the service or the views!
Only visited for the day but loved the feel of the place, caught in time, old fashioned elegance. Will visit again.
People have complained about the service at the Del but we have found them to be nothing more then helpful in the end. I think maybe others are more demanding? At the end of the day everyone is just doing their job-not there to be abused. We love the Del and they have always treated us so nice! People can complain about noise from planes but it is by a naval air base -and those people are protecting our freedom! My only complaint is the cost. But the Del has gotten into our heart and will always be there.
Loved my stay! I was there for a conference and loved the beauty of this Victorian style property, the beach and the restaurants. The staff was also responsive to my needs. I also loved the old elevator which came with the nicest operators - my favorite was Racquel who was super friendly every day. My only regret is I didn’t have a good view at all. I believe I would have had to pay for a better view and I’m not a fan of that policy.
This is a great place to stay, hotel has a long history and the rooms are great. So much to do around the hotel and in San Diego. Sienery is fantastic. We came in June so during the day temps were great but does get cool at night. Definitely will come back to this hotel.
The hotel room was 458 bucks , they called it the honeymoon sweet with an ocean view, more like a closet with a 1/4 window view of the ocean. They told my husband they'd send up a surprise bottle of champagne for my birthday, never came. We ate at the pizzeria. Paid 60 bucks for a beer and a crappy flat bread pizza that tasted like a Red Baron out of the freezer section at Walmart. BOO...
