The del is a beautiful property with breath taking views. The staff treated everyone great. Andrea from the front desk sent us a bottle of the del Coronado sparking wine for our anniversary. And in this day and age, she left us a hand written card! We had a grand time at all of the bars and restaurants.
Beautiful hotel, terrible staff. Very rude and unaccommodating for simple and reasonable requests.
Here for a convention and I was impressed with the facilities, amenities and staff service. The food was exquisite, the views amazing and grounds were prestine. Thank you!
We booked a room, only to find out that all of the beaches in Coronado were closed due to fecal sewage from Mexico and the water being unsafe. My wife and daughter were very upset as they had dreamed of swimming in the pacific and this was the trip of a lifetime. Of course the hotel did not inform of us of this significant health risk and closure before our arrival. If you are going to the del, check ahead. We were given a one night stay for a wedding gift. We added an additional nights stay. We were disappointed with the service but extremely bothered that we were paying a rate of $511.00 and had to endure 6 hours of stage set-up for an event they were having on Monday. One of the machines was loud and constantly beeping as it traveled for safety reasons. It completely took away from our tranquil and serene experience. I've been coming to Coronado for 35 years during part of the winter. The Hotel del has a number of dining options. I've experienced 1500 Ocean, Sheerwater, and the large outdoor patio. All have wonderful food and great service. As a vegetarian, I've asked to have certain meals adapted and they did so very nicely. The spa is a great experience, no matter what you have done. A most wonderful destination! Class, charm, it has it all! I'd always wanted to come to the Hotel del Coronado, and now my wish came true! So that I will return, I planted my "lucky penny" somewhere there, and this "lucky penny" ritual seems to always bring me back to my very favorite places, which now include "the lady, the legend!"
Absolutely love Hotel Del. Such a beautiful place. The beach is stunning and love all the shops and restaurants on Coronado Island.
