We booked this for my birthday trip away to Edinburgh. Couldn’t have asked for a better apartment really! The staff were so lovely and the location was perfect, with everything in walking distance. Our room was ready early which was fantastic but they do have luggage storage too (we used this on after checking out). The apartment was huge with gorgeous views of the gardens and the street. If we come back to Edinburgh we will definitely stay here again!!
Stayed here for 1 night in February 2026. The apartment was nice. Plenty of space and lots of amenities. The temp of the apartment was perfect. Nice and cosy and warm after walking about in the cold. We had a couple of issues though. We had a queen st facing room. The road noise from outside was really quite bad and we were woken up several times during the night, especially when buses passed. We stayed at one of these apartments in September and were pleasantly surprised by how large the apartment was. It was a full sized self contained apartment which was lovely to have in Edinburgh. Only downside is no windows! But overall brand new and had everything we needed. Didn’t see any staff as we had late check in and early departure but instructions were fairly clear to get us in and out.
Stayed for a week at Sonder 1 br apartment. Try to get rooms on the 4th or 5th floor as these rooms have full access to elevator and is above street level. You see a lot of reviews about mold, smell, and noise. I figure these are problems from rooms on the 1st - 3rd floor. Our unit on the 6th floor has no problem. The room is very clean and is in a good condition. Although we have to go up one flight of stair as some room on the 6th floor has no access to elevator. Location is the best thing about Sonder.
