The amenities offered here are smoke and mirrors at best. Security is a joke (there isn’t a security guard, doors are often left open or not working, and there are only a handful of unmonitored cameras). The free coffee in the lobby is almost always empty or a complete disaster area. The 24/7 pool and spa are often utilized by homeless people that can walk right in. The firepits often have puke, cigarettes, broken bottles and burned food in them. This is not a luxury apartment despite the pretty pictures they put up on the w... read more
A pre-requisite to moving into Steelyard appears to be the desire to do drugs on a regular basis. If you walk down the halls after 5pm you will get a contact high. Pretty much anything you would like, you can find from multiple people. Management knows who all is dealing and using, but does nothing to enforce the no illegal substance policy.
Doors and gates are always broken so there is no true security. Whoever wants to walk or drive into the “gated and secure” property can do so. They even had all of the lobby computers stolen recently as a result of this!!!!!!
Office staff is completely overwhelmed with the amount of things reported to them that they cannot get on top of it. Instead things simply go unaddressed and forgotten about. They need better or more staff to be able to run this place. Jenni and Gentry are the two that should be handling high level issues, but instead run around with busy work the two front desk staff (both look completely checked out and often forget you spoke to them at all) should be doing. I am surprised this place has not imploded from incompetence.
Parking is not adequate to the residents. I often have to park outside of the gated area, which is not what I am paying for. Guests park inside overnight, gates are often broken so anyone can park inside, and there is no enforcement of parking passes.
The garbage collection is a joke. The people doing this are extremely loud, leave behind stains and puddles in the hallways, leave piles of trash bags by all the entrances for guests and residents to climb over, and the area around the garbage compactor always looks like a garage sale gone wrong.
Major safety issues have arisen and been taken to management. To date they have not addressed them. Several of us will not be renewing our lease because of the unsafe nature of the apartment complex.
Property management has favorite residents and lets them get away with things the rest of us do not. If you are a friend of the front office you can get away with whatever you would like to do.
I toured this apartment complex for the first time and signed my lease within the same day! Beautiful facility and incredible staff- particularly Elijah Salazar. He stayed past closing to help me get my lease signed, even with the website being down. I’ve never experienced someone with a heart to serve and help like Elijah! It was helpful to get a firsthand experience from him about how he likes living at the complex and fun to see the tight knit community they have here. From the speak easy, to the incredible gym, I couldn’... read more
