It took over 40 minutes to get a table. There were at least 10 tables clear. Their excuse was the kitchen couldn’t keep up with the orders. Our waiter rarely checked on us. It took over 30 minutes to get our food. I had to wait over 10 minutes to ask for a spoon for my stew that I had.

I took my family from out of town it was not busy at all yet around 450 our waitress didn’t even know what was on the sandwiches she completely screwed two of our orders up I would think for the prices the staff would be knowledgeable and also give some type of compensation for having to send back a meal to get it back with toppings picked off and cold Wasn’t happy about this place at all today And our waitress was rude and I figured at the most a manager would come over and talk to us or something And of course that didn’t ... read more
It took an hour for us to get the wrong appetizer. Drinks took forever to make it to the table. I had a "build your own burger" which apparently comes with things you did not order on it too. The vent above our table was dripping during dinner. Our server was friendly, just slow in coming to the table to check on us. It was our first and last time going to this establishment.

Me and my son went for.dinner. ordered a salad and his meal first so I would make sure he would have something to eat before getting fussy..... an hour later with nothing but a coke on my table and a screaming child, I got up and left. Never a look of concern from our server or a visit to check on my empty drink. This was my first visit to any Smokey Bones, and I really wanted the full rack of ribs I ordered, I'm not sure if I will make it back, highly disappointed.

I tried it for first time at Greensboro NC location a couple of weeks ago and had to do it here while at Virginia Beach...just as great...only issue I had was when I mapped it and drove there, the exterior lights were off and seemed like a closed building..drove around for several minutes upset before I decided to call and verify..good thing I did. Them smoked wings and street tacos...yummmm

I had an amazing experience here as Smokey Bones server was very delightful and all the managers and the cooks were very happy they gave my food out at a great rate
Probably one of my top favorite places in Virginia Beach! The servers and bartenders are always so welcoming and know their menu! I would recommend to anyone visiting the area!!:)
