this is a great program for those looking for an alternative to 12 step programs. this teaches you the cognitive tools to use to take back your life. you don't have to be stuck in the past with the alcoholic/addict label. you can move forward and deal with emotions and life situations in a sane and constructive manner. yay smart recovery!

By not making those with the diseases feel bad for joining AA along with over 3 million other s that it works for in the world . I love It and it is NOT GOD BASED cult. lmao The word is only used to describe a higher power that is spiritual . I could not stop myself but friends that had travelled the same or similar life i could relate to. Nothing I tried ever worked . AA does not support any religious beliefs . I have been attending Smart Recovery for about 19 months now and it is Great. my name is David Hughes and I will be starting Smart Recovery Leavenworth Kansas very soon. please come by and share a like for our group. David Hughes
I now have a life !!! I started way back with Rational Recovery for I needed to have choice in my life . Now I'm Looking to bring what I have learned to others here in the true Upstate NY , The North Country...Smart has given me the tools to be able to help with my emotions as well as my alcohol drug use !!! So Smart recovery is going to become available here in Malone NY in March or April I will have things in place to roll this choice out for all of the north county !
