I spent 10 years in AA and I would say it works for some people but I didn't care for alot of the religious overtones especially the 4th and 5th step. I really did not feel comfortable confessing my sins with a sponsor who probably knew less about life than I did. I tried AA for a bit then found smart and made the change to only smart meetings. I love your stance on various things better than AA. I like how smart helps you by giving you tools and you use them to better yourself on your journey to a balanced life.!! thank you smart for offering an alternative to AA!!

I love smart recovery it has helped me out soo much about who i am asa person
I've been in and out of a lot of programs. I've tried NA/AA, everything I could. This was a success. In NO OTHER PROGRAM have I been able to say that on Thanksgiving Day I will be 2 years clean of opiods.
Instead of replacing drug dependency with group dependency, i learn self dependency! We have a choice! I took the SMART one!
SMART Recovery has saved my life over and over again. I don't know where I'd be without this program.
