I like the fact that I am not powerless with a disease, but I am responsible for how I use the power to manage my mental heath. As Victor Frankl said, 'The last of the human powers is to choose one's own attitude in any given set of circumstances.' I find this much more practical than engaging in mythical, superstitious old wive's tales which I have found among those who follow some of the 12 step ideas...
This is a very forward thinking group. I feel that their this approach to recovery could be very helpful to so many that find other groups have been lacking something.
Went to my first online meeting today. I was not sure going in, but found it to be very helpful. I can not wait till the next one. I am going to try a meeting tonight. Tank you to all that make this happen.
