Best BBQ within 100 miles of Big Rapids! Love all the meats but some of the sides need to be worked on.
We went to Slows at 5:15 on Saturday evening just before the Tigers played. Hour wait! 40 minutes later we were seated and proceeded to eat Brisket tender and juicy, pit smoked baked beans full of meat and wonderful, Mac-n-cheese crisp on top gooey inside! Great meal prompt service only down side was the woman at the bar that was so loud you could hear her at the bar across the street.
I went Yesterday it was Horrible the Macaroni & Cheese was Horrible and the BlackEye Peas were too hard with no flavor The Ribs were Okay I will not go back!!
Anyone who has had real bb-q will hate the food & ambiance. Snotty hipsters plus overpriced menu is not what Corktown is about. As an ex-next-door neighbor, I can say that besides the horrific smell & rat drawing sanitation practices..the only thing worse were patrons...oh & the entitled owner. ENJOY!
Amazing experience. Emma and I sat at the bar for lunch. It was so good that we came the following day. The bartender ( a woman ) who served us on both days was the best. Super honest and very welcoming. Excelent pulled pork and ribs. True hospitality! We are on our way to Cincinnati and New Orleans, Detroit has set the bar very high! Thank you

The Yardbird was amazing. The Mac and cheese was tasty.
Enjoyed the mac and cheese, cornbread, Applewood bacon baked beans and beef brisket for lunch. My sister enjoyed her food also. I am happy with the service I received during lunch time! Thank You Slow's and the server Jaco.
