I wish I could leave negative stars! I was with slomins oil and ************* for 17 years and in that time I guess it was ok, I bought oil and they delivered it. They were never great on service and cleaning burner to be honest but my real issue started yesterday. I recently had a new burner, oil tanks and hot water system installed. It was not done by slomins but another large oil provider, only reason I did not use slomins was because they did not carry the system I wanted. Very disappointed in Slomins. My parents had Slomins alarm system in there house for almost 40 years . My mom died last March my Dad sold the house and when we canceled Slomins they wanted $1300 cancellation fee . We did not pay then they got a collection agency after us . Horrible people horrible customer service.
I have been a long time customer of ******** Oil and also have a heater service contract with the company. Last Saturday I received an email that stated that "as per my request" we have canceled your contract. I absolutely did not cancel my contract. When I called **************** they were very rude and I asked to speak to a manager. My husband and I purchased a security system from ******** Security and were robbed of jewelry, video games and other electronics. The icing on the cake was before we could *** them for damages, they sued us!
I have a gas boiler that I had serviced for years with an individual who can no longer service boilers. I call Slomins and they send over rep. ******** nice and talked me into their service guaranteeing me I will be happy. First off they took my money and gave me a 3 month window just to service boiler. I had to work and left an adult to let him in. PSA: WATCH OUT FOR SLOMINS SHEILD OIL SALES PEOPLE. I had someone cometo my home on September 18th to get me to sign up for Slomins oil. At the time I wasn't ready to purchase any oil contracts since I had literally moved into my home that day and had never dealt with oil before and I wanted time to do some research. Not to mention that the sellers of my home had filled up the tank right before we moved in providing me with a certificate of proof. Scam... Salesperson sold us the security plan and NEVER mentioned a 5 year contract. Only care about their commission. We mover after 3 years and they want to charge us $700 now to cancel .
I have used this company before and never had a problem. This year I called to have my boiler cleaned and they gave me an appointment for Oct 25th. The week before they sent me 2 emails confirming my appointment. The day before they sent me another email asking me to confirm my appointment for a cleaning on Oct. 25th. The worst. Called to find out if my water heater was covered, that is all I wanted to know. Put. me on hold 3 times, waiting for an answer The first time I called a few months about my burner. It was an emergency, and they gave me a 4 days from than. I called my own friend. They charge you for a Contract but don't have the people to fix it. How do we let oil companies do this. Going back to ****** oil as soon ad my fake Contract is over. What good is customer complaints if they keep getting away with episodes.
