Not authentic and horrible employer! – Some of the sushi is good, but they portions are a little on the small size for what you are paying. Food on the menu is not authentic Japanese either, and again, overpriced. The worst thing about Sinju is the ownership. As someone who has worked there in the past, I think it is important for people to know employees here are treated extremely poorly, to the point where they are yelled at daily, have shifts taken away for missing a grain of rice on the floor when vacuuming tatami rooms,... read more

Best Sushi in town – So far the best sushi I have had since I moved to the portland area. The ambience is very nice and the private rooms are cool. The chefs are friendly and chatty. The drinks are good and the location in the Pearl is perfect. We can't stay away!!!!

Sushi So Good You'll Never Want to Eat it Anywhere Else! – My fourth time here since moving to the Portland area 6 months ago and this place never ceases to amaze me. The fish is FRESH and they have a great selection. Sit at the sushi bar and receive amazing service from the sushi chef directly. If you're polite they're polite, anyone who complains about the hostess and staff here is crazy, they're always top of class. You'll almost always find toro and wild caught salmon on the menu as well. The "Super White Tuna" is amazin... read more

Restaurant made mistake and made us pay!!! – We have had many good meals here for rather $$$ deals, but never had any problem until we last went there. We decided to order the special on the board next to suhsi bar. When the bill came, we were over charged $5 (for $11 specail was charged $16!!). When we pointed it out to our waitress, she asked the Korean owner/hostess who just told us what's on the board is a mistake. We will have to pay the correct price. What a conman!!! We paid, never tipped and swored not to ever go bac... read more

best sushi in town. – Consistently the best sushi around. Not cheap, but really good quality fish. Well prepared, beautiful presentation. My favorite is spicy tuna rolls and the soft shell crab.

a pleasant surprise – we visited the newer bridgeport location first and TOTALLY on accident stumbled upon the best sushi i've had in years (the tempurs-fried lasvegas roll is to DIE for) after going to the uber-trendy (and BEAUTIFUL) bridgeport location the downtown restaurant (nw 10th &johnson) seemed a little stuffy but the food was still amazing

Great Sushi at Bridgeport Village – My wife and I have been here on many occasions and have always been pleased with the food and the service. Keep in mind this is not Saburo so no huge sushi portions, but the sushi grade meat is of much higher quality. Weve never had to wait for seating, but Id recommend a reservation none the less. The atmosphere is nice, clean and stylish.

Rude customer service – I don't get it; it seems as if these people do not need any more business. Twice we have walked in (nicely dressed) and twice we have walked out. The older woman in the front of the house is rude and does not have the people skills to deal with the public. She acted as if we were imposing on her time. We were told it would be a few minutes for a table. The restaurant was not busy at 8:30, yet we could not have a romantic room ( for a romantic occasion). These are for parties of five or more. Good busi... read more
