Fresh, good quality Sushi!!! – I have only been to the location in the Pearl. I love the tatami rooms. I thought the service, atmosphere and food were supurb! I really enjoyed the tuna and the Vegas rolls!
Horrible Service and No Apologies – I ate at the Bridgeport Village SinJu. It took 40 minutes to be seated even though there were empty tables. It took 20 minutes to get a beer and another 45 to get our food after we put in our order. When we decided to get more sushi we had to wait another 30 minutes for that. We were there for 2 1/2 hours. Never once did we get an apology like, "sorry, it will just be a few more minutes" or "we are getting your table ready to seat you." We were pretty much ignored the entire night. The sus... read more
Traditional sushi served in the trendiest part of town. – In Short Two waterfalls, a sea of orchids and wood carvings accessorize the open dining room. The private tatami rooms, with secrecy screens and low-set tables, draw groups of chic Pearl scenesters and weekend casuals. The menu covers traditional Japanese fare: airy tempura arranged in a gravity-defying pyramid, bento boxes with mackerel, tonkatsu and teriyaki and steaming bowls of authentic udon noodles. Other traditional offerings include toro (tuna belly), sweet an... read more
Best in NW PDX – So I know good sushi when I taste it. I visited the new Bridgeport location and Max made my sushi. Whoa. It was truly a delicious meal. Even the dessert was top notch. Make reservations, it will be busy.
Not impressed with this place at all. – I had heard great reviews about this restaurant, but when I went there I was the least bit impressed. The atmosphere was not good, the sushi was petite-sized and the prices were high. I would not go back here because there are better sushi restaurants in Portland that offer much more. P.S. I am still trying to figure out how this restaurant obtained a 9.7!
Best Sushi in Town! – We go to Sinju at Bridgeport Village in Tualatin as often as we can. The sushi is so fresh and sooo yummy! Try the NW Berry Cosmo... it's amazing!!!
Sin Ju... Can Do – This place has to be one of the best. I know Sushi (& have been to Japan if that adds?). The salmon Nigre is phenomenal, it is the most succulent, fresh & tasty pieces of raw fish that I have ever eaten. The mixed drinks are also the best for a sushi place, the cocktail list is so appetizing is a big bonus. The Tokyo Tea cocktail & Lemon Drop, I strongly recommend. Sinju seems authentic to me, the waiters seem more concerned with getting you what you need rather than groveling at your feet like with other ... read more
Oh my G... – I have one suggestion, try the Vegas roll, it is so amazing!!!! The service was great, the food was fresh, and the restaraunt was fabulous! I actually went to the new location in Tualatin, beautiful design, nothing like it in on the west side. Make sure you use the restroom...you'll know why when you go. :0)
Arigatougozaimasu – A higher power has blessed me by having this phenomenal establishment three blocks from my home. The sushi and sashimi are of the highest quality and the atmosphere is unbeatable. If youve been to Japan, youll know that this place is the real deal. The menu is traditional and the few specialty rolls that they offer for our American palates are perfect fusions of East and West. I highly recommend the Las Vegas roll. Picture a roll with salmon, tuna, avocado, cream cheese and other good stuff. Now, batter i... read more
