There are a few dishes in the are that I absolutely crave - the Hot Pot Aug at Ralph's Great Divide, the oysters on the first weekend of the month at the Friendly Tavern - and the Wild Mushroom Ragout with Cheese Tortellini at the Shoefly Public House just made my list! It's been 3 days since I had it and I'm still thinking about it! Large chunks of mushrooms, light gravy, al dente tortellini...add in the friendly service and it is a perfect dinner!
Great experience
One of the best spots in Indy. I have never eaten something I wouldn't again, which is why I have to keep going back! Everything on the menu is made in house, down to the sauces and pickles. If you go in the fall, order the Pilgrim sandwich, thanksgiving dinner in one bite! Also, Megan is the best bartender!
Food is good. Staff is super slow. Like they almost do it on purpose.
We drove to Indianapolis for an overnight visit and our host suggested Shoefly Public House. Wow, what a great suggestion. It was precisely what we were looking for. Great food, great beer list, friendly staff, who could ask for more. Too bad it's do far from Cincinnati!
Terrible service and terriable food. We were even charged for drinks we didn't drink. When we asked about them we were told we have to pay for what's on our bill.
$71 for 1/2 order of fish and chips....wife got salmon...and drinks.
