100% recommend Shimmering Ivory if you’re Hertfordshire based and looking for a talented seamstress for wedding alterations or custom gowns. Sian was a pleasure to work with from start to finish and she did the most fabulous job with my Vivienne Westwood dress. As well as tailoring the dress to fit me perfectly, we customised the shape of the skirt to my preference resulting in quite a complicated job, and Sian totally delivered! Thanks so much 🤍

I cannot recommend Shimmering Ivory enough! She is incredibly talented and such a lovely, kind person, an absolute joy to work with. She made my gorgeous Josephine Scott dress perfection and ensured it fit like a glove. Every detail was flawless, and I felt completely confident and beautiful on my wedding day thanks to her expertise. Thanks so much to Sian for tailoring my evening dress & customising it exactly how I wanted. I came to her with a long top/dress that had two large embellished slits from the waist down to show a skirt underneath and asked to use the skirt material to turn it into a full maxi dress. She did it with real care and attention to detail - it fit amazingly and looked great. She also took in the dress to fit my waist!
