SHOCKING! Booked a lodge last year for for my bridal team ( the night before the wedding) we were due to check in and an hour before they emailed to cancel with no care what so ever about the occasion. Said they have double booked us and that was that! Absolutely disgusting! DONT recommend

Lots of little unnecessary disappointments. Outdoor space in Hawthorne is tiny, but it's also not clean or well maintained, would benefit from a good jetwash (the lodge itself is clean in fairness). They don't provide bath mats. Tin opener doesn't work, but there are three corkscrew, and no sieve or colander. Freezer needed defrosting (really badly) so door doesn't even properly close. We had a lovely stay here. The lodges are fantastic and the honesty shop is great for if you forget something. We would 100% stay again.
