About this business

As an ode to his Israeli roots, Chef Alon Shaya created Shaya as an innovative restaurant with elements borrowed from his Middle-Eastern ancestry. Shaya's menu is a reverential treasure which was crafted with recipes from his grandmother. The chef attempts to blend the indigenous flavors of Israel with a New Orleans twist, and the menu features dishes such as the Louisiana Shrimp Shakshouka and the more traditional matzo ball soup, among others. We had heard that this was a great restaurant and we were not disappointed. I'm not even a huge fan of Mediterranean food (and did not even know what Israeli food was) but this was excellent!

Lamb Kabobs were as amazing as everything else we had. Cocktails were creative and delicious. And our server Megan was fantastic. Great service, great atmosphere, and great food.

Wonderful food - curried cauliflower hummus was to DIE for, had the wagyu hanger steak and green beans with tomatoes which was cooked to absolute perfection!

Amazing service and DELICIOUS food!! The service is quick and the staff is also very helpful! My son asked for pizza as soon as we sat down and I told him that they don't serve pizza but they have something else you can eat!! Our wait staff, Megan heard that and next thing we know there's a pizza made from yummy pita!! She went out of her way to make that happen!! Thank you to the chef and Megan!! We will definitely visit again and again!!

My friends & I live on the north shore but were excited about eating at Shaya after reading and hearing so much about it. We loved it!!! I wish I could repeat what I ate but sorry I'm unable except for the creamiest most delicious hummus ever with awesome pita bread. From the appetizer to the entrees to the service...all were wonderful. Bringing my daughter when she comes home for Christmas.
