As an ode to his Israeli roots, Chef Alon Shaya created Shaya as an innovative restaurant with elements borrowed from his Middle-Eastern ancestry. Shaya's menu is a reverential treasure which was crafted with recipes from his grandmother. The chef attempts to blend the indigenous flavors of Israel with a New Orleans twist, and the menu features dishes such as the Louisiana Shrimp Shakshouka and the more traditional matzo ball soup, among others. My first time was this past Saturday afternoon and the food was just impeccable! Everything was outstanding and I thoroughly enjoyed myself, I will be back soon!
Service and food was excellent. Will definitely come back again.
From our hostess, to our waiter, to the atmosphere, to the food, all just perfect! Hats off to Chef Alon Shaya and staff.
Seriously incredible!!!! Highly recommend everything, but the lamb ragu hummus was a game changer. Red snapper, extraordinary. Falafel, out of this world. Eat here now!!!!
The food was amazing and the service was GREAT!! Thanks Julie!
Except for unusually low seating nothing to complain about. Our lunch on Sunday was exceptional especially the hummus, table plates including eggplant, pickles and beets and the bread. oh, the bread - Ate so much of it that I could not finish the superb falafel, while rest of company wisely chose the matzoh ball soup. Service was professional and the bar prepared a decent Bloody Mary.
AMAZING!!! My husband and I drove 3 hours to the restaurant. Everything was awesome from the server to the atmosphere and especially the food. We tried majority everything on the menu and everything was delicious Can't wait to come back!!!
No review necessary. Eat here immediately!

This options are quite similar to the feeling of having some tapas, which means you share the food, you relax, socialize and enjoy the afternoon. It is not that same and ... read more
