Shaya's menu is a reverential treasure which was crafted with recipes from his grandmother. The chef attempts to blend the indigenous flavors of Israel with a New Orleans twist, and the menu features dishes such as the Louisiana Shrimp Shakshouka and the more traditional matzo ball soup, among others. The pita guys...holy pita Batman! It was just fantastic. Worthy of the praise! Service was a little spotty, which was disappointing considering the quality of the food. Small concession, though, as everyone else there was friendly and spoke to us.

I'm in love with the brick oven pita...perfect alone or with the lovely chanterelle hummus (I'll never look at hummus the same) or the green garlic baba ganoush. My husband got the lamb kebab and raved about it. Milk and honey dessert was out of this world, all of the desserts looked to die for. Halva cappuccino is a must. Spectacular service and beautiful restaurant...can't wait to return!

Loved the avocado toast with smoked fish, the cauliflower hummus, the tartare, and the milk and honey. Top place to eat in NOLA.

We loved it! Ramona was fabulous. She made us feel right at home. We left all our selections to her. Each item was better than the last. Lovely wine selection. We will be regulars!

Great birthday lunch today with family.. Food was wonderful, but the staff was amazing. Since I had never been there I was not quite sure how to navigate the menu, our server was so helpful. Off street parking is a plus. But seriously, all staff was so friendly. Great place.
