As an ode to his Israeli roots, Chef Alon Shaya created Shaya as an innovative restaurant with elements borrowed from his Middle-Eastern ancestry. We had reservations for 8:30pm, but took a chance and went for lunch. We had to sit at the bar, but that was just fine. Food was exceptional, and the service was great. I do hope to get there for dinner the next time I'm in New Orleans.
Amazing. Every single bite is delicious. Definitely get the lamb hummus. Gimme a plate of that and the homemade bread, and I'm happy.
