As an ode to his Israeli roots, Chef Alon Shaya created Shaya as an innovative restaurant with elements borrowed from his Middle-Eastern ancestry. The Pita bread was to die for. The humas was excellent and the chicken schnitzel was delicious.
Have been for both lunch and dinner... place is top notch and will continue to make it a stop whenever I’m in NOLA!

One of the best dining experiences I've had in New Orleans! If you enjoy Israeli cuisine, this is the fine dining experience you have been looking for! They have indoor and and outdoor seating, a great wine selection, and a beautiful Israeli menu! The hummus with roasted eggplant and the kebbeh were outstanding. Great ambience, great service, and Fantastic Food!

The food was alright. Just seemed like the waiter forgot we were there. Rushed the first set of the food out.. and then we had to wait a bit between the courses... didn’t offer us dessert, just brought us the check, before we even asked for it. Guess it was time for us to leave..
