As an ode to his Israeli roots, Chef Alon Shaya created Shaya as an innovative restaurant with elements borrowed from his Middle-Eastern ancestry. I really enjoy this restaurant. I’ve been numerous times over the last couple of years and the food is always superb, friendly warm service. Always a nice place to show off to visitors.

Food is still pretty good although not as good as it used to be before the owner split.

Wonderful Israeli food. Highly spiced, nice sized portions. We loved the fresh pita, the hummus and the baba ghanoush. Lamp shank was out of this world!

Lamb shank, lamb ragu hummus and shrimp were amazing! Milk and honey dessert was also so wonderful! My sister, mother and I go all over New Orleans looking for great cuisine.. and this place is now at the top of our list!
