I've lived in London for 15 years and have stayed in 5 Shangri-La hotels (Hong Kong, Bangkok, Jakarta, Sri Lanka and Istanbul) so I know and admire the brand. Unfortunately yesterday's experience at Tīng for High Tea was far below Shangri-La's usual standards We were a group of five. My partner, who is brown, and I were stopped twice on arrival. Probably the greatest hotel experience ever in our lifetime at this world iconic building that my wife and I enjoyed in a two night staycation on our 45th SAPPHIRE WEDDING ANNIVERSARY💍🥂💎👰♂️🤵❤️❤️ in the Shangri-la Shard. Stayed to celebrate a 10th wedding anniversary. The service at reception was wonderful, friendly and warm, we were able to check in slightly early and a slightly later check out arranged, which meant a great start to our stay. The room was large and the views, well that’s the USP of this property as the are unmatched in London at least. Gym was small, but still really cool to work out on the 52nd floor.
