Waited over three hours in the ER. When the people who arrived after us were the ones going back and getting a room, we approached the nurse. At that time we had been there longer than everyone. The nurse looked at my mom and said "I don't have anything to say... other people are sicker than you". How disrespectful. Absolutely awful service the entire time.
Checked into the ER at 0430 this morning, left at 0845 without being seen. I saw 3 people who showed up after me go back before me. I'm sure if I would have shown up in an ambulance I would have gotten seen sooner. Never going back to this hospital ever again. Also no one even cared when I told them I was leaving, they were just like "Let me cut this wristband off for ya."
I've never had a problen at Hampton Sentara CarePlex, every one were professional and kind. If they were running late, they informed me. I just had an excellent experience in Radiology Dept., I had mammogram and technician Jaziman Powell conducted the test. I tell you this is the best test I ever had, it was somewhat comfy, didn't hurt and tech Jaz made me relax my muscle. Excellent technician. Request this technician when you go to Sentara Care Plex she is "the bomb"! l and "SHE'S GOT THE MIDAS TOUCH".
I've had pretty good experiences here.
I've only the kindest things to say about the doctors, nurses, assistants, therapists and any additional staff of the 4th floor ICU. They are kind, professional, empathic, and supportive. I thank Goodness they have been there throughout a most difficult time for myself and my husband.
Right now,its 8 pm.I've been here since 12 this morning.Totally uncalled for.I absolutely don't get it,and have never encountered this way of doing things.but I've been treated good.not happy.but what choice do I have
Worst hospital EVER! Unprofessional staff! Wait times are astronomical! Unless you arrive in an ambulance you can all but die in the waiting room without any help.... And the staff has no people skills at all. Rude, we have currently been in the waiting room for over 3 hours....
The staff with which I came into contact was discriminating. They have a policy on children that deems them "lesser" citizens. It is offensive and wrong on so many levels. I would ale every effort to find a medical facility that understands that health begins at home, and sometimes what a patient needs most is a few minutes with the people who love them most, despite their age.
The nurses are great but never get to talk with the doctor's more communication. Lonnie Wilson
