The staff was very attentive & great all ofr them but never been to a hospital but never been to one whereas you hve swelling, pain cant walk, chest pain, all tests scans xrays read good except kidney functions but never knew one that wend you home unable to walk & not keep for 24 hr observations. Wasnt pleased about that at all. Meds didnt work but gave me same meds sending home. Very pleased with thehospital staff people, xrays older guy all of the young ones. They were all excellent. Too many questions not answered. Hospital lost records after I lost my husband
Don't go to Sentara Careplex for Emergency Department issues. If you do, you can expect to wait 6 hours or more before you get treated. Everyone in that department is walking around like it is a day in the park. You complain and the response you get back is, we were busy and from your chart, you did not seem to be in too much pain...really? Just because I don't scream and yell does not mean I am not in pain.
This is the place I bring my special needs son if he needs a non complex ER visit. It's way closer then driving all the way out to Norfolk CHKD and way faster! I'm always in and out with a 2 hour wait max! Friendly staff and clean atmosphere!
So very disappointed with the service here. Brought my daughter in because she was throwing up for 4 days and while that isn't a big deal to some it is to us. They were in no hurry to help us at all. I guess riverside would have been a better option.
I took my son here after going in to Langley Hospitals ER twice, the second time we waited three hours until I finally brought him to the Sentara CarePlex ER. Everyone, including the check-in clerk, was amazing! We were taken to our room right away. So glad I brought him to this hospital! Thanks!
