This was by far the worst hospital visit ever. Arrived at 4: 00 am by ambulance to have 5 different staff members attempt and IV on my non verbal AS3 daughter who is 25 years old. And no one could get her veins. I get she is dehydrated. But needs fluid and antibiotics. Asked for dr who after hour still had not shown up. Ridiculous. He/she never came into the room!!!! Once again it never fails Unprofessional, untimely and very unhelpful I've been sitting in a room for one hour at a minimum and still have not even that my info taken here it is 10:30 at night and they're out there talking and laughing I can hear through the door very unprofessional I do not recommend coming here unless you want to work done by inconsiderate people

RecommendedMy son from Northern Virginia was in visiting his dad for Father’s Day weekend. When he arrived we noticed his right arm was swollen with large bull’s eye rash from a tick bite. We were dreading a long wait in the ER on the holiday weekend. I’m very thankful to say, we were pleasantly surprised that our son was in and out in less than an hour. Thank you SAMC ER for being so proficient!

I had to be admitted for blood clots on my right lung. From the moment I stepped into this hospitals e.r to the moment I left I was treated exceptionally well. I was visiting my sister from a much larger city, Atlanta Ga. I have seen many good and bad hospitals in my day. This hospital treated me with great respect. No long waiting lines and both doctors and nurses were great. If I had to recommend a place to be seen it would be this hospital. They saved my life..and I'm very grateful to them all. I'm over 4 months pregnant having really bad chest pain, was giving a CT scan. The doc came.in said well you don't have a blood clot an sent me home STILL HAVING THE SAME AMOUNT OF PAIN AS WHEN I WENT IN!!!!THERE IS NO CARE FOR THE PEOPLE THEY HAVE TO TREAT!!!!
General surgeon in the ER was excellent in explaining the situation with my granddaughter and what to expect. He took time with us, allowed for questions and drew a diagram also. I was so pleased with Dr. Charles Liu, don't find many like him anymore. Thanks again so very much. 03/01/18.
Doctor Boyd sucks everyone I know who has seen him.. Complains about the lack of compassion he has for his patients and does no do his job to fix problems or find out what's going on!!
