Their policy only let's 1 person stay the night there. That's stupid. And their staff isn't nice at all. Grossmont hospital is way better.
I went to the one n 5th ave( Hillcrest are)gotta say that We had a great experience when delivered my baby boy on 2013..great personal, nurses,Drs. looking forward to have my baby girl here again one of these days God's will.. I highly recommend this place♡
My father-in-law was taken to this ER for fever over 102 for 4 days following surgery. He waited in the back for over 3 hours and no one came to check on him. The halls were lined with people. Nurses were laughing because no one knew which patients had been checked on. After bringing this to the nurses and doctors attention, still no one came. While waiting on him in the waiting room, I saw a homeless man be discharged in nothing but a 'gown' bc he had soiled his clothing. He asked the nurse if he could get his clothing back... read more

My husband (now 60) was born here, my daughter (27) was born here, my youngest son (11) was born here and my Grandmother (now deceased) worked as a nurse here for more years than I remember. I no longer live in SD but Mercy is the best hospital!!
