Nobody wants to go to the ER. We were attended to fine, just a long process. We were treated well by staff.

Horrible. This hospital is too big to have so many people waiting in the ER for so damn long. They need more staff/ER rooms available. The wait is ridiculous. I witnessed a woman waiting for ever and she ended up having a seizure!
As far as hospitals go it is great, everyone goes out of their way for you. I have been in many in the Houston area and Scott & White is far better!
I recommend that anyone needing medical attention find an alternative to Scott & White. Our dealings with their medical personnel in years past (Temple and College Station) were fine. Since March 2015, we've found how S&W really regards its customers. In March 2015, they double-billed us for medical services in College Station and have essentially refused to pay us back since then. I have a great Doctor James Sterling! He is very concerned about my health and provides the answers to all my questions. He also stays on top of issues that are important to me! I have continued to be with Scott and White services since 1981 and would recommend their services to anyone!
Today i had surgery at Scott and White. It was my first time having surgery so I was very nervous. The staff was amazing. I am blown away at how great these people do their jobs, I have never had such a great experience at a hospital. They answered all my questions, made me laugh, made sure I was comfortable and fully aware of what was going to happen. The nurses really care about their patients and it shows. I am so thankful for these nurses because they made a very scary situation 1000 times better.
The billing department is awful. They don't do the coding correctly and this is why they say I owe them. I am fighting them now over a bill. I have very good credit and pay my bills on time. I had problems back in 2004 with bills and hated it. Thank goodness that is behind me. I pray I never get behind again but sometimes things happen. Please Be careful with coding so you can get paid.
