Beautiful, gorgeous trails, well behaved horses and the oppurtunity to canter (run) through the valleys of Yellow Wood State Forest. The owner is full of life and personality and makes the experience fun. I adore these trails&horses and would recommend them to anyone and everyone.
We had such a great time here! They were able to call us and reschedule us around the rain, so we didn’t have to cancel our scheduled ride. They took time explaining the ins and outs of riding the horses to everyone, and were just overall such nice people! Highly recommend for any ages!! Thank you Kathy, Doodle, and Belle for our awesome ride! — with Jakob Matthew Key.
The staff were very friendly, competent, and extremely knowledgeable about their horses. The horses are loved by the staff, the horses are very friendly, and easily controlled during the hour long ride through the beautiful forest. Will definitely recommend this stable to everyone. We will be making a return trip. I was very impressed with the entire experience.
We always go to Schooner Valley Stables when we visit Brown County. The staff are always friendly and accommodating and we’ve never gotten a “bad” horse. They have trails appropriate for people that are not confident riding and trails for people with past riding experience. Recently we took our 6 and 9 year old boys and they had a great first experience. We will definitely be back!
Great people, wonderful horses. The kids had a great experience. We will be back. — with Julia Broaddus-Coffman and Lora Watts.
Great experience for my family. We are local to Brown County, and by far recommend Schooner Valley Stables. They are so attentive & it’s clear it’s not just a job for any of the employees. They love what they do and want you to have a great experience, too. We went for my daughter’s 8th birthday and they treated her like a queen. Down to earth & passionate. Can’t get better than that!
It was great! Thanks Scott for being so patient and teaching my 6 y/o granddaughter riding tips and “the John Wayne” ! Paint that pole orange 😁
Best place for horse back riding great horses and staff...very good with kids and first timers...can’t wait until next Fall when we will be able to go again
I have been a few times and each time is better than the one before. I have been riding since I was a kid and due to living in city cannot have a horse. This gives me my riding time, relaxation and oneness with nature. If you’re a strong rider Bell is great.
