Scale Hill Hotel was wonderful for our wedding party. We had half our family guests staying here, and everyone was delighted with their rooms. The accommodation was comfortable, well-presented, and exactly what we needed. Heather was fantastic throughout, helpful, organised, and made sure everything ran smoothly for our group. This was our fifth or sixth stay at Scale Hill and the place never fails to delight us. This time we stayed in Barty's which offers a fully self-contained accommodation, we were lucky with the weather which allowed us to do some stunning walking all based from the accommodation, I can't recommend Scale Hill strongly enough. Also, Heather is a WW2 history guru :)
We stayed at the Scale Hill Hotel for a local wedding and it suited us perfectly, no tv in the room, nice and quiet! Friendly service, lovely view out the back of sheep and cows directly behind the hotel. There was a water station outside our room with bottles of still and sparkling water at all times, and local hard sweets too. I had a lovely stay in this wonderfully charming hotel. Stunning location, gorgeous, peaceful room with a super comfy bed and fabulous breakfast. The owner manages to combine modern comfort whilst maintaining the unique integrity of this old coaching house perfectly and could not do enough for us. Amazing home made scones too! Thank you so much for a lovely couple of days.
A return visit, and we found the welcome just as warm (including scones and cake!) and the accommodation, Barty's, just as comfortable as last time. Perfectly situated, with both Crummock Water and the Kirkstile Inn within easy walking distance.
