Who doesn't love good southern soul food. Best in the Birmingham area.
First time eating here today and I love it ! Would recommend this place to anyone!
The food was very good with a great presentation. There is space to eat in or take out. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is the place to go for tasty soul food.
$70 call in order for a going away dinner. Left out half of the order. Then won't answer the phone. Very dissatisfied.
Everything was as expected the pork, sausage, and sides were excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I got 4lbs. of pork And 2lbs. of sausage to go because I was so impressed. Highly recommend!

Oh my word. On par with memphis bbq. And that sauce was to die for.
Saw my check in pop up from last year and now it's all I can think about. Stopped here en route from Greenville, SC on the way to Memphis. Now going to Memphis we assumed going in this stop was going to be at the low end of our many food stops, just something to fill us up before getting back on the road. Nothing against it we just were super excited because of all stops we knew were coming over the coarse of the weekend. Made a detour to the airport to stop in Saw's in Avondale. We all had the pulled pork sandwiches, first bite I was concerned, but the second bite was flavorful and everything you would want from a pulled pork sandwich. Do not expect stale plastic booths and shinny tile floor in this joint, the place has character, the kind that draws you back. Next trip through Birmingham it's back to Saws for the burger.
