Came to the Saracans head as a pit stop while on holiday in wales, we ordered food and all I can say is AMAZING. I was going to order the summit burger, decided to order a double burger instead. I’m glad I did as it’s apparently double the size of the double burger, I struggled to eat the double burger as my mouth wasn’t big enough. My wife and mum had lamb shank which looked amazing, they confirmed it was the best they’ve eaten. Booked a table for 2 through the website and received confirmation but on arrival staff were unaware. Ordered 2 summit burgers and food was a mountain of greasy clearly frozen burgers, staff walked by the table several times obviously noticing the virtually untouched plates but didn’t ask if everything was ok. Very disappointing.
Nice meal in this dog friendly pub. Efficient and friendly bar staff.
Had a fantastic 2 night stay at the Saracens Head. Staff all lovely, room clean and spacious with very good wifi! Breakfast is very generous, cooked to order as well which is nice! On a side note, although we didn't have lunch there, the Sunday roast is enormous!!!
Rooms had recently been given a lick of paint, spotless, so clean and fresh. Great. Staff were young and surprisingly very helpful, I'd employ them. Breakfast was substantial and very, very nice. Best bed I've ever slept in!!! Would stay again.
