His undergraduate studies were at the University of Illinois and he graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in 1976. After graduating from Dental School he completed a general practice residency at Northwestern's V.A. Lakeside hospital with emphasis on restorative dentistry and medicine. Woke up with tooth pain, Stopped by Dr' D's office on spur of the moment as I was downtown. She accommodated me despite being busy. She assessed the need for a prompt root canal which she intervened to schedule at the endodontist the next day. All went well, thanks to Dr D. -- no pain over the holiday!

I have been a patient of Dr. Barr for more than a decade. The level of knowledgeable professionalism coupled with a friendly attitude, makes visiting the dentist a lot easier. Laura has been my hygienist for several years. She is extremely competent and friendly, and so good that I ask for her every time I need to have my teeth cleaned. You will receive excellent care!

Yesterday, one of my crowns (Not one made by Dr. Barr or Dr. Diachenko) came loose, during a business meeting. I had another meeting just 1 hour after the end of the first one. The staff got me in, prepped, and Dr. Diachenko had the crown permanently re-cemented (WITH an adjustment to the shape, btw) in time for me to make my next appointment. STELLAR!!! Thank you all!!!!
I had a tooth issue on my flight to Chicago and needed to see a dentist ASAP. Dr. Barr got me in an hour after I called and I was in and out of the office in less than an hour. Dr. Barr was extremely professional and friendly. I would recommend him to anyone!
