What a great place. Lovely old building. Super friendly staff, nice room and, best of all, a magnificent Sunday roast and breakfast next morning. And all from a last minute booking as I stepped off the harbour ferry on a bike tour and decided to shelter from the sudden rain. So glad I found it; I’ll be back to take another look around historic Harwich - and enjoy another roast.

We booked a table for 11. We had a fantastic evening at Samuel Pepys restaurant. All of us enjoyed the meal and pudding too. Service were friendly and quick. Staff are polite, highly recommend this place.
Great pud and restaurant Food superb Old town Harwich Quaint but lots of History and nostalgia Great price £10-20 a head.
