Big pub for a small village. Oddly spread car park that backs directly onto homes. Beer is really good. Food ordered and served really quickly and the gent serving was the epitomy of politeness. Not the cheapest panini and chips I've ever eaten and only just not the most expensive (I had a similar lunch in Covent Garden last week for just 3 quid more). Lovely place, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and play area for the kids
The service is amazing and the steaks are perfect. The Hunter's chicken and afternoon tea are also very enjoyable.
Good in the past but very disappointing this time- shortage of staff , new chef??- long wait and tough meat (rumpsteak) BUT: to make up for it, we we were offered one dessert on the house.. Still not going sgain in a hurry....
