RecommendedWe had 8 at our luncheon and Sahm’s Tavern was a great choice. The service was wonderful and everyone enjoyed the food they ordered. A great place!
Nice spot downtown with free parking. The beers I had were really good, but my wife didn't like the cider. Food was decent for the price. My burger was obviously a frozen patty, but it was seasoned and cooked well and I enjoyed it. Fries were really good too.
Great atmosphere. beer selection was right on. had the meatloaf melt, huge. homemade fries were awesome. if you're in Indy, swing by.
I ordered the BLT Black bean salsa chicken wrap. The amount of chicken was more than generous, but I could find no bacon whatsoever and maybe 4 to 5 black beans in the entire wrap. Bit of a disappointment! However, my husband's fish sandwich was wonderful. Connie, Greenwood
Food and service were good as always. I usually eat at Sahms in Fishers where all is good. Downtown has a strange policy: They won’t seat you until all guests arrive. I was told by hostess this is common for downtown restaurants. I’ve met clients in downtown restaurants several times a month for years. I have never run into this anywhere else. I often arrive at my lunch destination early to review notes and prepare for my lunch meetings. That ain’t happen in this scenario. My personal opinion about this policy is: It’s silly
The best food in Indiana!!!!
Basic service mistakes: three servers chatting at the bar while my glass was empty for way too long (I was sitting at the bar); they didn't ask whether we wanted a box, despite plates being untouched for some time; appetizer came out after the main course. The poutine was pretty good, tenderloins just okay. With all the choice in Indy right now, I'm not sure I'd go back.
