Safe security has refused to cancel my security service today when I called and said i must finish pout my contract. They finally did offer a reduced rate, This company and its contracts, in my opinion are horrible and extremely difficult to deal with. My experience with them has been negative.
I tried to Cancel my service with Safe Security now 3 times. Last year I was told I could not cancel because my contract auto review in November. I was told to start the cancellation process the following October. I began canceling my service in September.Their records showed I had never called. Probably the worst customer service ever. They lied to me when I moved said if i wrote them a moving letter they would cancel my account. jIn stead they continued to draft my my bank even after was told my them that they would stop . I've had this company for a little more than 3 yrs, my wife and I wanted to cancel the service due to that the prices on the service kept on going up without a notice. They automatically renew the contract without a notice or notifying us. Now that we're trying to cancel the service, they want us to write them a letter saying that we want to cancel it. Very unprofessional customer service experience. Almost impossible to get service, and (months later), when the technician came to fix the system, there was a problem, and we could not get the service man to come back without paying a "double billing issue". Very strange the way the company refused to fix the system and kept billing me double (two account numbers for the same business). So my home security system started acting up due to bad installation. I called SAFE and they said they would fix it if I extended my contract. I didn't like that so I waited until my renewal to cancel. I sent in a letter and email as requested and told me they were never received. I also sent in a certified letter that shows delivered but they say they didn't receive. I was with another alarm system and they turned me over to safe security. Both were taking $ out my account and previous company said safe security should not be taking $ out. Informed me I'm not their customer which they said they'll handle. It has not been a pleasant doing business with them. They keep taking money out my account and I'm no longer their customer. Shady business practice!!!
Signed up with Safe Security back in 2015. Now that my initial contract is up, I called and tried to cancel. They told me that it was automatically renewed for 1 year without any notification (rep said "they are not required to send a notification") and that I needed to send a letter at least 30 days before to cancel. Like someone is suppose to remember to write a letter to cancel your service 3 years from the date you signed up. Under no circumstances should you go with this alarm company. My father-in-law's system has not worked in more than a year...in fact, it has been disconnected. It stopped working when he changed to another scam (ACN providing his electricity, internet, etc), but that's a whole other story! A SAFE Security rep went to his house and told him that if he still wanted his system to work he'd have to buy some upgraded equipment.
